For natural gas, the diesel chart does not apply, and its page says so. Jenbacher lists its J612 gas genset at up to 2,078 kW for 60 Hz, at 480V to 13.8kV, with electrical efficiency up to 45.2%. Jenbacher does not publish gas flow or inlet pressure on that page and notes its data depends on gas quality and ambient conditions, so those numbers have to come from the data sheet for the exact unit.

Weight to plan around: mtu lists the 16V4000 DS2000 open power unit at 47,523 lb, measuring 254.9 in. long, 99.9 in. wide, and 135.2 in. high. mtu calls these estimates for an open 480 volt unit and says lengths may vary with other voltages; an enclosure or sub-base tank adds to both.

What comes on the skid: The standard DS2000 package sits on a structural steel base with a unit-mounted radiator. At its 50 °C (122 °F) radiator rating, that radiator needs 111,890 SCFM of cooling air, so any housing or generator room has to pass that much air.

Noise and housing type: Open, the set measures 98.7 dB(A) at 7 m (23 ft) at full standby load. Weather enclosures, sound-attenuated enclosures, walk-in enclosures, and containers are the options for bringing that down; request the enclosure drawing and its weight along with the unit.

Containers on the gas side: Jenbacher states that its gensets can be installed inside a building or inside a container, and its containerized scope includes the ventilation, cooling, and lube oil supply systems.

Seismic and code: 2021 IBC seismic certification and HCAI pre-approval are optional on the DS2000.
