What We Stock in Parts and Accessories
This category covers the equipment that surrounds a generator rather than the generator itself: trailers and running gear, transfer switches, power distribution units, and major components like generator ends and digital controllers. Nearly all of it is pre-owned and inspected, which is where the value sits. A replacement trailer or a used transfer switch costs a fraction of new and does the same job. Browse the current selection below, or contact us if you need something that is not listed.Generator Trailers and Running Gear
When the running gear on a mobile unit wears out before the engine does, a replacement trailer is the cheaper fix. We regularly carry tandem axle trailers built for generator loads, including Centreville, Rajysan, and Multiquip TRLR70US units, with prices in our recent inventory running from roughly $3,100 to $7,750. Fitment is what matters. A Centreville 17-foot trailer we stocked, rated at 20,700 lb GVWR with a lunette ring hitch, spring suspension, and electric brakes, fits Caterpillar XQ300, XQ350, and XQ400 units along with Multiquip DCA300, MQP240, and DCA400 generators. That is model-specific, not a general rule. Before ordering, confirm:- Generator footprint and weight. Match the deck dimensions and GVWR to your unit, not to the model family.
- Hitch type. Lunette ring, pintle, and ball hitches are not interchangeable. Check what your tow vehicle is set up for.
- Brake system. Electric, surge, and hydraulic brakes each carry different towing requirements.
- Title availability. Some trailers come titled and some do not, which affects registration in most states.
Transfer Switches
This is the part of a standby installation buyers most often overlook. A generator does not connect directly to a building. A transfer switch sits between the utility feed and the generator and decides which source carries the load. Automatic transfer switches sense a utility failure, signal the generator to start, and move the load once it is up to speed, then reverse the process when utility power returns. This is the standard arrangement for unattended facilities. We have carried Cummins Onan PowerCommand and Onan ATS-C units from 225A to 1200A. Bypass isolation switches add a manual path around the automatic switch so the ATS can be serviced or tested without dropping the load. Asco 7000 Series units we have stocked cover 100A to 800A at 480V. Facilities that cannot accept downtime for maintenance frequently specify them. Remote annunciators bring transfer switch status to a monitored location rather than requiring someone to walk to the equipment. We have carried Cummins PowerCommand annunciators for that purpose. Three things to match when buying: amperage rating against your service, voltage and pole configuration against your system, and enclosure type against the installation environment. Our amperage chart is a useful reference, and we will confirm compatibility before you order.Power Distribution Equipment
Larger facilities need gear between the transfer switch and the loads themselves. Two types come through our inventory. Power distribution units split incoming power across branch circuits with individual protection. An Eaton main PDU we carried is typical of the class. Static transfer switches handle the fast switching that sensitive loads demand. Cyberex SuperSwitch3 units transfer in roughly four milliseconds using SCR-based switching, with 100 kAIC ratings and redundant control design, paired with a power distribution module. That is a different class of equipment from a standard ATS and typical of data center installations. Distro requirements often arrive on a project timeline rather than a permanent one, which is a poor fit for buying. Our rental division, Stag Power Rentals, covers iLine panels, distribution panels, spider boxes, transformers, and transfer switches across Texas and the Gulf Coast, either on their own or bundled with a rental generator so one vendor handles the whole temporary power package.Generator Ends, Controllers, and Major Components
Sometimes the economical move is replacing a component rather than the whole machine. Two categories show up regularly. Generator ends are the alternator half of the package. A failed end on an otherwise sound engine does not require scrapping the unit. We have carried new Stamford 900 kW continuous duty 480V ends. Digital controllers govern starting, protection, and paralleling. Woodward EasyGen 3500-5 units we have stocked support paralleling applications and can replace an obsolete panel on a mechanically healthy generator. Component swaps only pencil out when the rest of the machine justifies the investment. Send us the details of what you have and we will tell you plainly whether a repair or a replacement unit is the better spend.Repair the Generator You Have, or Replace It?
The calculation comes down to three numbers: what the component costs, what a comparable used generator costs, and how much service life the existing engine has left. A trailer replacement is almost always worth it, since the running gear is a small fraction of the unit’s value. A transfer switch is a fixed requirement rather than a choice, so it is bought regardless. A generator end or controller sits in the middle, where the answer depends on engine hours and overall condition. If the math points toward replacing the machine, our used industrial generators and the shop by kW page are the places to start. Our generator repair team can also assess whether a unit is worth keeping in service.Buying Accessories From Turnkey Industries
We inspect accessories the same way we inspect generators. Trailers are checked for frame condition, suspension, brakes, and tires. Electrical gear is verified against its nameplate ratings. Every purchase is backed by our 30-day IronClad warranty, and our service and maintenance team handles installation questions and repairs after delivery, including electrical repair on transfer equipment. We have been buying and selling industrial power equipment for more than a decade.Need a Part We Do Not Have Listed?
Tell us what you are looking for and what generator it needs to work with. Inventory in this category turns over quickly, and we can often source an item that is not currently on the site. Browse our full inventory of industrial generators or contact us to get started.Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know whether a trailer will fit my generator?
Match the deck dimensions, GVWR, and hitch type to your specific unit rather than to its model family. Listings note which generators a trailer is built for. Send us your generator’s make, model, and weight and we will confirm before you order.Does a generator need a transfer switch?
For any permanent standby installation, yes. The transfer switch isolates the generator from the utility feed, which protects both your equipment and line workers. Portable units connected through a manual connection point are the exception, and even those need a proper interlock. What is the difference between an automatic transfer switch and a bypass isolation switch?
An automatic switch moves the load between utility and generator without anyone present. A bypass isolation switch adds a manual route around that automatic switch so it can be serviced or tested while the load stays energized. Facilities that cannot accept downtime for maintenance often want both.Should I buy or rent power distribution equipment?
Buy for permanent installations, where the gear stays in place for the life of the facility. Rent for project work, turnarounds, and events, where the requirement ends on a known date. Stag Power Rentals handles the rental side, including panels, spider boxes, transformers, and transfer switches. Is replacing a generator end cheaper than buying another unit?
It depends on the engine. If the engine has substantial life left and the alternator failed, replacing the end is usually the better spend. If both are near the end of their service life, a replacement generator makes more sense. Send us the hours and condition and we will give you a straight answer.Shop Industrial Generators By kW

Clint and his team are incredibly knowledgeable about their products and services. They stand behind their tested units and I bought a lightly used towable generator for a great price with great confidence. They helped me out and programmed the CAT engine to run the necessary voltage for our equipment to help us get up and running. Thanks Clint and RudyPosted on Google![]()

The team at Turnkey was incredibly helpful in selecting a generator, getting the paperwork completed and shipping. Most importantly they provided all testing documents prior to shipping including a video of the load bank test which was a great bonus. Really enjoyed working with them and their communication was much appreciated. Will definitely be working with Turnkey on the next purchase.Posted on Google![]()

In my project to upgrade our 3 megawatt generator plant I needed to sell our old gens that were being replaced. I reached out to folks that had contacted me on LinkedIn previously, I hit up multiple online retailers, and reached out to previous contacts. Clint with Turnkey was got back to me within minutes of my submission on their website. That level of response and engagement was consistent throughout the entire process. Aleigha was fantastic with scheduling and communication during the project and was great to work with. I can't score these guys any higher than 5 stars, if I could I would!
